My Journey Begins!

As of yesterday, November 7th, I began my new journey with Thirty-One Gifts! I've been wanting to sell for quite some time now but could never afford the $99 start up fee (crazy, I know...). I work part time as a youth director at the church that I grew up in and I love that job but that money alone is just not cutting it. For now I am adding income from Thirty-One to help us out. One year ago we sold our home in Bettendorf to move out to my childhood home in Eldridge. We moved out there, got settled and then my dad decided he did not want to sell the home. So 6 months later we packed up our belongings again and moved back to Bettendorf into an apartment. Now, I am NOT the apartment type! I need a yard to play in, plant a garden in and mow, I need a garage and a basement for my things, I need a driveway to shovel snow from in the winter AND my kids need their OWN bedrooms!!

I began talking to an old high school acquaintance, Lindsay, who is a consultant in Des Moines and is doing very well at it! We've been talking back and forth about getting me started but my husband was not on board b/c of the start up fee. Lindsay proved herself to be an amazing team leader by coming up with a solution that I could not say no to by having my Launch party first and then using that income to purchase my kit! So here I am, planning my launch party which is just less than three weeks away! I am so excited and cannot wait to begin!

As I sit here going through my goals for my first 31 days from my sponsor, I notice that one of the steps is to figure out my "WHY" and to write it down and display it as a reminder as to why I need to work so hard at this new endeavor. My "WHY"?? 1. A HOUSE!! 2. Another vehicle!

So here's to a better future in a home (again) with two dependable cars and my children living peacefully in their own bedrooms once again.
